Friends are very supportive. Or at least thats my goal as a friend.I want to be there when i know its their situation to face, in which they need to learn to problem solve themselves. I know, that friends may think of you in "disgusting" ways, like a stalker, when you're only trying to help. Friends can be overrated, but you should still love them.
Right when you meet a person, you show them the real you. Unfortunately, i sometimes "fail" to do just that. That leads to some friends inquiring why i cant just show myself. One of the most catchiest phrases is "be who you wanna be, barbie girl." My only question is wouldn't barbie be teaching kids to go act something they're not?
One of my dearest friends once told me this, in which i looked at it in the wrong way. I took it offensive, when they were just trying to assist. I thin the point they were trying to make to me is, " be yourself cause thats what truly matters. You dont have to lie about anything because you're beautiful."
Another thing to hold on to is, in that part in SIXTEEN CANDLES, where her dad is talking to her about a guy, that she thinks doesn't like her. He said something like this, "If that boy can't see the beauty i see, he's the one with the problem." So, if people dont like the new me then thats their problem.

When I close my eyes I can see / The spotlights are bright on you and me / We've got the floor / And you're in my arms / How could I ask for more?
